Over the next weeks we will be welcoming four finalists as we complete the search to bring in an Assistant Rabbi/Educator to Congregation Torat El. That search began many months ago as part of implementation of our Strategic Plan and our effort to reinvigorate our efforts to grow and strengthen our congregation.

Each weekend will be full of opportunities for you to greet these wonderful candidates, experience their capabilities, and share their enthusiasm for Conservative Judaism and education. Your input is critical to the review process. Please join us so that your voice is taken into consideration.  We will be circulating the schedule of events each week by e-mail and as part of our weekly announcements. We also want to take a moment to thank our current Religious School Principal who has been an integral part of our planning and transition process. We are working with Ben to finalize his new role as our Director of Ritual Engagement. As we move forward together, Ben will be responsible for tutoring all of our b’nai mitzvah students, working to continue and expand the involvement of our teens in ritual life, and working to expand our cadre of adults who can read Torah, Haftorah, and lead services. We are thrilled that Ben will continue to add to his many years of dedicated service to our congregation and continue his commitment to our students and families.

This is an exciting time in the life of our congregation and we hope that you will make every effort to come to synagogue on these weekends to meet our candidates. We are eager for your input as we work together to secure a bright future for Congregation Torat El.
